Nathan and Chris have played successfully together in many bands from the age of eighteen including indie bands, cover bands and semi-professionally around the U.K.
After a spell of ten years without playing the drums Chris bumped into Nathan again which led to the birth of the Grumpy Old Men. Not long after in June 2003 Dave MacDonald joined the band.
With the line up now complete the band got to work on a set list of chart hits primarily rock based, with material ranging from the 60’s to the present day.
January 2004 brought our first gig at the Commercial in Ossett. Over the following few years the band have since invested in some back line equipment and lighting, have a song list of around sixty songs and can be seen gigging most weekends in and around West Yorkshire.
Our aim is to please the audience playing music that they can relate to whilst having fun ourselves. Quite often we are referred to as a juke box band. So if you haven’t seen us, why not come along and see for yourself what a set of Grumpy Old Men are really like.
